Urea breath test for Helicobacter pylori — the leading cause of stomach ulcers and gastric cancer.

Detects microscopic blood in stool — an early sign of polyps or colorectal cancer.
Hepatitis & Liver Panel
Hepatitis A/B/C antibody testing and full liver function panel.
Gastroscopy: What to Expect
Gastroscopy (upper endoscopy) uses a thin, flexible camera inserted through the mouth to directly visualize the esophagus, stomach lining, and duodenum — the most accurate method for detecting gastric cancer in early stages.
Sedative (painless) gastroscopy is available at KMI, where a light sedation keeps you relaxed and comfortable throughout the 5–10 minute procedure. You will not feel any discomfort.
Korea has among the world's highest gastric cancer rates, and gastroscopy is a key reason Korean screening programs achieve some of the highest early detection rates globally.
Colonoscopy & Colon Cancer Prevention
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer globally — yet it is one of the most preventable with regular colonoscopy screening. KMI's gastroenterologists detect and remove precancerous polyps during the procedure itself.
Sedative colonoscopy at KMI uses gentle sedation so you remain comfortable and unaware during the 20–30 minute exam. Most patients report no memory of the procedure.
If no polyps are found, the next colonoscopy is typically recommended in 5–10 years. Your physician will advise based on your personal risk factors and findings.
